Located between the Town Centre profile area and Port Moody, and to the south of Westwood Plateau, Eagle Ridge provides a mixture of single family, townhouse and apartment residential uses. Eagle Ridge contains approximately one-quarter of all townhouse units in the City. Both a new middle and secondary school were constructed in the latter 1990s to accommodate students, supplementing the two elementary schools already in place. In addition, the area features a variety of commercial retail services for residents, as well as easy access to the major shopping areas of the Town Centre.
With initial development occurring in the mid 1970s, Eagle Ridge represents an early stage in the urbanization of the City’s northwest area, following a planned sequence of development leading into the Westwood Plateau.
Eagle Ridge contains a variety of parks with playgrounds, ballfields and walking trails. A 25-metre outdoor pool is open for family enjoyment from June to September.
